A diary of the commissariat of the 2nd Cavalry Division of the German Army in World War I. The commissariat was the department reponsible for providing food and other supplies to the army. The diary was kept in several different hands as well as some typescript and apparently later bound together. It records troop movements and the ordering and receipt of supplies, especially food.
